Tatami, Teppanyaki & Omakase

Tatami (private) room is available for minimum 4 person. Guests sit on the floor on straw mats (there is an opening under the table for your legs, no shoes allowed). Minimum $300 spend, 18% gratuity applies.

Omakase is a custom multi-course meal created by chef Kimura. Price per person ranges from $100 to $200 depending on your budget. Minimum 48 hours notice.

NOTICE: Omakase is no longer available to book online. Please call/email us directly.

Teppanyaki is cooking table where chef cooks in front of you. Due to short staff we are only able to take reservations of 6 or more people with 48 hours notice. Please call/email us directly to book.

Delta Marriott Hotel Access, Parking & Directions

We are located inside the Delta Marriott Hotel: 655 Dixon Rd, Etobicoke Toronto

Once you turn into the hotel via Dixon Rd drive straight towards the parking gates. Take a parking ticket at no charge (Ginko provides 3-hour parking validation, if you are over 3hrs please tell the server and we will provide special validation).

As soon as you enter hotel parking lot turn left and you will find Ginko parking spots in front of the Lot 41 patio. Enter the hotel through the West entrance (with Ginko signage) from the parking lot.

Please bring the ticket inside the restaurant to be validated.

Chef Kimura is Japanese Cuisine

Shigeo Kimura immigrated to Canada in January of 1973. He worked as a landscaper and saved his Canadian pennies--dreaming of opening an authentically Japanese restaurant.

In 1978 (after toiling through several Toronto summers) Chef Kimura started a family with Anne-Marie Micallef, and welcomed their first son, noted Toronto food-stylist Matthew Kimura, as they opened Sasaya, one of Toronto's five original sushi restaurants.

Building on Sasaya's success Chef Kimura opened Ginko in 1984, his homage to Japanese cuisine, aesthetics, and culture, and for the past thirty-five plus years has dedicated himself to freshness, authenticity, family, and his community. He is the internationally recognized kendo sensei of the Toronto, Ryerson, & Mississauga Kendo Clubs;  President and founder of the Japanese Restaurant Association of Canada; and recent guest judge on MasterChef Canada.

Fried Rice is $3 extra. Vegetarian Option (Tofu & Veg) is available for $35.
